Miss Lacey Anne King became the bride of Mason Lee Holt on Saturday, June 23, in Kosciusko.
The couple exchanged wedding vows at 6 o’clock in the evening at the Kosciusko First Baptist Church with Brother Barry Corbett officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Gwen Lott of Holcomb and the granddaughter of Jay and Shirley King of Cascilla, Billy and Roseanne Lott of Holcomb, and the late David and Joan Sayle of Charleston. The bride is also the daughter of the late Jay King, Jr.
The groom is the son of Danny and Anna Holt of Kosciusko and the grandson of Jimmy and Ina Rigby and Dock and Kay Holt, all of Kosciusko.
The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Jay King, and given in marriage by her stepfather, Michael Lott. She wore a classic style fit and flare ivory gown designed by Essense of Australia. It featured a sweetheart neckline and wide lace straps. Delicate scroll-work lace over bridal satin formed the silhouette, which flowed into a chapel length train adorned with sparkling lace and beading. She wore a fingertip veil of ivory illusion accented with pearls, crystals and rocals along the border and carried a bouquet of hydrangeas and pink, peach, and cream roses. A pearl bracelet, borrowed from the mother of the bride, and a gold/diamond ring, given by the mother of the bride, (both which were gifts from her father) completed her outfit.
Laura King, sister of the bride, of Grenada served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mady Holt, sister of the groom, of Kosciusko; Micah Brooke Woods of Duck Hill; Brett Adair Kyle of Grenada; Alaina O’Bryant of Greenwood; Abby Huffstetler of Greenfield, Tenn.; Juliana Adams of Smithdale; Kayla Rawson of Kosciusko and Hannah Johnson of Tchula. Savanna King, cousin of the bride, of Cascilla was the junior bridesmaid. The bride’s proxy was Riley Kinard of Grenada. Ann Thomas Love, daughter of Brad and Melanie Love, of Kosciusko was the flower girl.
Danny Holt, father of the groom, of Kosciusko served as best man. Groomsmen were Lyndell Suratt of Kosciusko; Alston Gilbert, cousin of the groom, of Madison; Ben Nail of Kosciusko; Ben Hudson of Kosciusko; Zach Rawson of Kosciusko; John Morgan Cummins of Kosciusko; Jay Murtagh of Pickens and Preston Cockrell of Kosciusko. Bryce King, cousin of the bride and son of Tim and Heather King, of Cascilla was the ring bearer.
Guest registry attendants were Sarah Caroline Henderson and Mary Patton Henderson of Kosciusko. Program attendants were Hayden Smith and Bailey Burch, nieces of the bride, of Holcomb; Kayden Tyler of Kosciusko and Mary Landrum Love of Kosciusko.
The beautiful nuptial music was provided by Ronnie and Suzanne Ables of Kosciusko. The wedding was under the direction of Anne Pender of Grenada.
A reception for the couple was held immediately after the ceremony at the home of the groom’s parents. The bride’s table featured a round, four-tier wedding cake adorned with fresh pink, peach and cream roses complimented by a canvas portrait of the bride. The groom’s table featured a duck hunting theme with a two-tier German chocolate cake topped with chocolate-covered strawberries and shotgun shells. Both cakes were created by Katie Crenshaw of Charleston. The Poor House Bound band of Columbus provided the music for the night. The bride and groom shared their first dance to “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. Later in the evening, the couple departed through a line of sparklers held by the guests.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Skylight Grill in Kosciusko.
Following their honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple has made their home in Kosciusko, where the groom is the owner of A&M Auto Parts and the bride is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Mississippi.
