New home for HCC

Holmes Community College recently opened The Attala Center, which is located on West Jefferson Street in Kosciusko. The educational facility takes the place of the HCC Attala Educational Center, which was on Highway 12 near Baptist Medical Center-Attala.

Election night results

Two new members of the Attala County Board of Supervisors were elected Tuesday night. Bobby Lindsay and Steven Goss were voted in to serve in District 1 and District 3, respectively.

Lindsay, a Democrat, finished with 592 votes (56 percent) compared to 456 votes (43 percent) from his Republican challenger Amanda Dean.
