On Monday, December 30, 2024, at approximately 12:01 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 82 in Washington County.
An unknown vehicle was traveling west on Highway 82 when it collided with 30-year-old Janeshia Oneal, a pedestrian in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Janeshia Oneal received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
