UPDATE: Goldston was taken into custody just before 12:30 p.m. today, Friday, May 16, according to Chief Deputy Ricky Williamson III.
Investigators with the Grenada County Sheriff’s Office are currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a murder suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.
Antonio N. Goldston, 42, of Grenada County is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 38-year-old Franklin Vicks of the Holcomb. The shooting occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at a residence on Lincoln Road in west Grenada County.
According to GCSO reports, Grenada Central Communications received a call at approximately 11:19 p.m. stating that someone had been shot at 250 Lincoln Rd.
“Once deputies arrived, they found a male victim in the floor of the house that was unresponsive and appeared to have been shot multiple times,” Sheriff Garrett Hartley said.
Paramedics with MedStat Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene and subsequently called for the coroner. Vicks was pronounced dead at the scene.
Goldston is a 5-foot-3, 155-pound black male. He has known connections in several neighboring counties.
GCSO officials said that no further information will be released at this time as the investigation remains active.
