Everett Hutchison, 88, a resident of Kosciusko, passed away July 4, 2023 in Meridian, surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services were 11:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Parkway Cemetery. The visitation was from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko.
Everett was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an active member of the Hurricane Baptist Church. Mr. Hutchison was committed to service. During his lifetime, he worked with the Disabled American Veterans organization, proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and eventually settled again in Attala County. He worked within the manufacturing industry before retiring as a cattle farmer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Dowell Hutchison of Kosciusko; their son Freddy
Wayne Hutchison and daughter-in-law D’Lee Hutchison of Meridian, MS; granddaughters Heather Hutchison McGuire (husband Derek) of Madison, MS, and Dr. Alyse Green Blackwell (husband Tyler) of Meridian, MS. He was blessed with great-grandchildren, Braxton McGuire of Madison, MS, and Knox and Kadence Green of Sumrall, MS. He also leaves behind his brother, Sidney Hutchison (wife Betty) of Kosciusko, MS, and sister-in-law Glenda Hutchison.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wayne Hutchison and Tennie Jenkins Hutchison of Kosciusko, MS, brother Jesse Hutchison, and beloved grandson Adam Jayce Green.
His loved ones will cherish Mr. Hutchison's memory as they remember his love, humor, and dedication to Church, Family, Service to his country and the DAV organization.
