The Ethel Lady Tigers softball team picked up their first win of the season last week over East Webster. The Lady Tigers will host Caledonia on Thursday before taking a week off before taking on French Camp next Thursday.
The Lady Tigers started their season with a 9-8 loss to Choctaw Central last week. Hadlee Fancher pitched six innings and struck out four batters. Fancher also led at the plate with three hits. Karlie Fortenberry, Marlie Bishop, Sadee Cummins, and Brailyn Rone each had two hits, while Fortenberry and Bishop each doubled. The next day, the Lady Tigers picked up their win over East Webster. Fancher pitched, striking out two batters. Meredith Moudy led at the plate with three hits, including two doubles. Fortenberry, Fancher, and Olivia McCrory each hit twice, while McCrory recorded a triple.
