Together with their families, Hillary Elaine Hobby and Cody Brent Whittington, wish to announce their forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect, is from Louisville. She is the daughter of Ms. Sharon McCown of Philadelphia, and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hobby of Louisville. She is the granddaughter of William D. “Bo” Hobby and Donis Hobby of Louisville, and Mrs. Yvonne McCown and the late Mr. Homer “Mac” McCown of Philadelphia. Ms. Hobby is a 2010 high school graduate of Noxapater Attendance Center, and a 2012 graduate of East Central Community College. She graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences. In 2018, Ms. Hobby furthered her education by obtaining a Masters Degree in health sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is currently employed by Baptist Memorial Hospital Attala.
The prospective groom is from McCool. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell and Rebecca Whittington of McCool. He is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Jean Whittington and the late Mr. James Whittington of McCool and the late Mrs. Corinne Smith of Ethel and the late Mr. James Cummins of Brandon. He is a 2010 High School graduate of Ethel Attendance Center, a 2012 graduate of Holmes Community College, and graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences. He is currently employed by Choctaw Regional Medical Center.
The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 533 West Main Street – Philadelphia. Reverend Doyle Mitchell will officiate the ceremony. A reception will follow at 10903 Road 616 – Philadelphia. All family and friends are invited to attend.
Following the ceremony, the couple will call McCool home.
