The Attala County School Board approved resignations, hirings, and payment of unused sick leave among other items during last week’s monthly meeting.
School Bus Purchase
The board approved the purchase of a new school bus to replace one that had run off the road and was totaled. According to Superintendent Kyle Hammond, no students were on the bus at the time of the accident and the driver’s route had already ended. He said that insurance will cover the purchasing costs of the new bus.

Approvals of certified teachers for the 2021-2022 school year include the following:

Resignations
Resignations were approved for Olivia Warren, Tamara Hopkins, and Chastity Whittington.
