Mayor’s Youth Council
Applications for the Mayor’s Youth Council are available at City Hall. The Mayor’s Youth Council is for students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled at Kosciusko High School. The deadline to return the application is Aug. 19.
Soil and Water District
The Attala County Soil and Water Conservation District, in cooperation with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, will host a group meeting to discuss FY 2023 Farm Bill programs. A teleconference will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 24.
Hunter’s Education Class
A Hunter's Education Class will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. Participants must be at least 10 years old. Students can preregister for the class at MDWFP.com under the Hunter's Education tab. The class will be taught by Jason Blaylock at Williamsville Independent Methodist Church. For more information, call 601-416-8495.
Central Miss. Exhibits & Wildlife Expo
The Central Mississippi Exhibits & Wildlife Expo will be held Aug. 15-19. Registration starts on Aug.15 from 3 to 8 p.m. All categories will register during this time. It is free to register to be in the Exhibit Hall. Aug. 16-17 the Exhibits & Wildlife Expo will be open for the public for free. On Aug. 18 at 6 p.m., the Community Sports Challenge will be held. This year’s sport will be dodgeball. Senior Day is Aug. 19, with breakfast, live entertainment and Bingo with the Mayor from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. All events will be located at the Attala County Coliseum.
