From staff reports
Waste Management is transitioning to automated trash collection in the City of Kosciusko.
This means that trash will be picked up twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday, and residents must use only the city provided 96-gallon cart for trash.
All material must fit inside the cart with the lid firmly closed, and the cart must be placed less than 5 feet from the curb or public road and at least 3 feet away from any obstacles (trees, cars, mailboxes, etc.). Residents should place the wheels of the cart toward the house.
Automated collection with a standardized 96-gallon cart is cleaner for the community and the environment, more efficient, and safer for residents and drivers. With automated collection, no material outside the cart will be collected. Business owned containers cannot be serviced.
Residents who need an additional 96-gallon trash cart can contact Kosciusko City Hall at (662) 289-1226. An additional fee applies.
