“I was glad to see us bounce back,” said coach Kris Upchurch. He said a key was the play of senior Ameri Gadson for the first time this season after recovering from knee surgery. “We got one of our pieces back,” Upchurch said.
She joined sister Taliah, a sophomore, in the lineup. “They play very well together. As a team we played very well. I’m hoping that’s the spark to finish out the season strong.”
McAdams played Noxapater Tuesday and will be at home Thursday against Ethel in Region 6-1A matches. Looking ahead to next Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs have a home match with Velma Jackson.
The Lady Bulldogs dropped a 3-1 match at Velma Jackson September 14 and might need to win 3-0 to make the 1A playoffs.
