The Central Mississippi Fair is almost here.
The festivities kick off on Sunday, July 23 with exhibit registration from 1 to 5 p.m. Categories include art show, photography show, home division, vegetable show, flower show, and fin, horn and feather. It’s free to register in the show.
Here’s a schedule of events from Monday, July 24 to Saturday, July 29:
Monday, July 24
8 a.m.-10 p.m. Judging
3-7 p.m. Exhibit Hall and Wildlife Extravaganza

7:30-9:30 a.m. Pick up exhibits
5-11 p.m. Fair gates open
6 p.m. Corporate sports challenge
Friday, July 28
8:30-11:30 a.m. Senior Day
5-11 p.m. Fair gates open
6 p.m. Political meet and greet
Saturday, July 29
3-11 p.m. Fair gates open
5 p.m. Lumber Jack Day
All events will be held at the Attala County Coliseum.
The fair will be held outside of the coliseum.
Admission to the fair is $6 per person. Children 3 years old and under get in free. Armbands will be $20 5-10 p.m. Thursday and 3-7 p.m. Saturday and $25 5-11 p.m. Friday and 7-11 p.m. Saturday. A single ticket is $1.50, a fun pack of 20 tickets is $25, and a family pack of 50 tickets is $50. Each ride takes two to five tickets.
