Mrs. Dean Kelly Taylor, 87, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at her residence in Kosciusko surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Swift Town, MS, on August 27, 1933, to Wiley Turner and Lemmie Day Dewett. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Kosciusko.
Dean was one of the kindest ladies you would ever know. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a witness to everyone she spoke to. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed working on houses, raising and tending to her dogs and singing at church. She was a blessing to all she came in contact with and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by sons, James Irvin Kelly, Jr. (Julie) of Lancaster, KY, and Michael Douglas Kelly of Mendenhall, MS; stepdaughters, Frances Frazier (James) of Kosciusko and Sarah Mangrum of Amity, AR; adopted daughter, Elizabeth Clark (Steve) of Kosciusko; daughter-in-law, Debra Kelly of Carthage; brother, Ed Dewett (Jeanette); sister, Joyce Toombs; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, James Riley Taylor, Jr.; son, Jerry Glenn Kelly; parents, Wiley Turner and Lemmie Day Dewett; stepdaughter, Gail Mooney; sisters, Dot Murff, Annie Mae Pinkerton, Maureen Goss, Bertha Avant, Faye Gatlin; brother, Robert “Buck” Dewett.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery near Kilmichael. Rev. Don Cook will officiate.
