Lady Tigers ready for big league games

The Lady Tigers picked up four division games this past week sweeping doubleheaders over Velma Jackson and McAdams.

Ethel defeated Velma Jackson on Tuesday 15-0 and 17-0. The Lady Tigers would hit a lot of home runs, including a grand slam by Shelby Schuster, and Brooke Mitchell hit a walk-off home to end Game 1 by the run rule.

Tigers looking for improvement heading into week two

West Lowndes was able to run wild on Friday night. The Panthers would use a strong run game to get past the Tigers fell to West Lowndes 34-6 in the season opener.

In a jamboree contest there will always be some good things and bad things. Ethel had those as the Tigers fell to Winona Christian 18-6 in a two-quarter jamboree this past Friday night.

The Tigers open the season on Friday night at home against West Lowndes.

Ethel looks to build from 17-8 season

After dropping two games in a weekend tournament, the Ethel High School Lady Tigers rebounded with an 8-2 win over Leake Central on Monday night. Ethel is set to host Winona on Thursday.

"The team will continue to improve with more and more reps," said head coach Chris Schuster.
