The following cases were turned into the Attala County Circuit Clerk this past week. See next weeks paper for the remaining cases from the September term.
Elmer Meeks, Jr. pleaded guilty to sale of schedule III controlled substance. He was sentenced to five years in MDOC.
Jamarius Fabien Johnson was placed on non-adjudication guilt and sentencing was upheld for three years for possession of methamphetamine.
Ron Terry Denton pleaded guilty and sentenced to three years and $1,000 fine on count of automobile burglary and sale of a stolen firearm.
Marcus T. Roberts sentenced to 10 years in a MDOC facility and five years on post release supervision for possession of methamphetamine. Indictments for possession of heroin and possession of marijuana were dismissed.
James Wilbur Maness pleaded guilty was sentenced to MDOC custody for five years with four years in PRC and one year of house arrest along with a $2,000 fine for felony driving under the influence.
Cody B. May pleaded guilty and sentenced to 10 years in MDOC custody for possession of firearm by felon.
Calvin Carter sentenced to three years in MDOC custody for possession of methamphetamine.
Benjamin C. Johnson pleaded guilty to the sale of two stolen firearms was forced to pay restitution and court cost.
Ricky Jones pleaded guilty to possession of stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was sentenced to five years and seven months in MDOC facility.
Demerick Cortez Guyton pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to pay $1,000 fine.
William Christopher Frazier pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was sentenced to 25 years in MDOC custody on two counts with 10 years on PRS. Another case of possession of methamphetamine against Frazier was dismissed as part of plea.
