Whippets close out strong season at 22-6

The Kosciusko boys basketball team saw its season come to a close after falling 62-50 last Tuesday in the opening round of the MHSAA Class 4A playoffs.

Kosciusko led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and withstood a 16-point second quarter by Pontotoc to take a 29-29 lead into halftime.

Pontotoc outscored Kosciusko 15-6 in the third quarter to lead 43-35 at the end of the period.

A nine-point fourth quarter by Pontotoc secured the win. The loss ends the Whippets’ season at 22-6.
