Joyce Sanders, unofficial genealogist for the Attala County Library, will retire and move to North Carolina.

Kosciusko Jr. high School Beta Club recently collected over 200 cans of food for Helping Hands Ministries. Showing some of the food are Karen Cauthen, Mollye Woods, Karman Evans and Janelle Hannah.

Winners in the Christmas lighting contest were Dr. and Mrs. Marty Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Carl McNeal, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Martin, Dr. Claude Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cooper, Mr and Mrs. Mike Kyle and Craig Evans.

Future Business Leaders of America officers at the Kosciusko Attala Vo-Tech are Angie England, Shonda Daniel, Christy Clanton, Myndi Munn, Anita Brown, Lakisha Gamble, Heather Payne, Jessica McMichael, Alanna Cabanas, Robin Logan, Denise Brown, Rebecca Chitwood, Annette Brown and Angela McBride.

Members of the Kosciusko Civilian Club observed Christmas by honoring their wives at a pre-Christmas dinner.

The 1929 Whippet football team recently met for its 40-year reunion. Attending were Tarver Sanders, Gary Burdette, James Parham, Doty Jackson, D. W. Aiken, Hilliard Jordan, B. W. Jordan, Hugh Potts, Harry Peeler, Robert Ward, Fred Hight, Ralph Lane, W. E. Turner, Sam Power, Billy McMillan and Allen Roby.

First Baptist Nursery School students recently painted Christmas gifts for their mothers. They were Scott Pickle, Teresa Swoope, Bryan Cummins, Max Townsend, Frank Jones, Resa Henderson, Tim Ashcroft and Risher Massey
