True Vine M. B. Church

Dr. Hercules Lacey and the members of True Vine M. B. Church cordially invite you to our Fall Spring Revival services. These revival services will occur from Monday, Oct. 14, through Wednesday, Oct. 16. Revival services will begin at 7:15 p.m. Pastor Leroy Lacey of New True Light M.B. Church of Canton, MS will be the speaker on Monday night. Pastor W. L. Hightower of New Zion M. B. Church of Louisville, will be the speaker on Tuesday night. Pastor Quentin Harmon of Mt. Olive M. B. Mount Hope District Choir

The Mount Hope District Choir will be in concert Sunday, Oct. 6  beginning at 6 p.m. Bro. Nate Edwards is director. Held at CMC Center in Kosciusko.


Bethel Independent Methodist Church, Hwy 35 N., Homecoming will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, with services beginning at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Chris Williams. Covered dish lunch will be served afterwards.

Rocky Point, Leake County

Revival services will be held on Sundays, Oct. 6-19, at 11 a.m. and evening at 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. Sunday speaker will be Ralph Hunt, Monday will be Cornelos Turner, Tuesday will be Jason Jones and Wednesday will be John Rice. Brother Nate Carroll is the pastor.

Traveler’s Rest M.B.

Women’s Conference will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon. Refreshments will be served.

COPP classes

The Lone Pilgrim Certificate of Progress Program will start their classes for 2019-2020 on Oct. 12 at Truelight M.B. Church in Walnut Grove. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Complimentary breakfast and lunch is included. COPP Deans are Sis. Jackie Ward and Rev. Angelo Riley.

Wake Forest

Wake Forest United Pentecostal Church in Thomastown, Homecoming will be held Sunday, Oct. 6. Lunch will be served at noon followed by worship service at 1:30 p.m. with preaching by Rev. Johnny Peden. The church is located at 8584 Hwy 429 in Kosciusko.

Stonewall Cemetery Homecoming

Anyone with a connection to the old Stonewall Presbyterian Church and/or cemetery are invited to the Annual Homecoming on the second Sunday, Oct. 13. Location is County Road #2101, about two miles north of Ethel, at Stonewall Church. Lunch will be served at 12 p.m. Bring your favorite food, desert and beverage. Plates, cups, utensils and ice will be provided. Rev. Jimmy Breland, who was married to the late Billie Wasson, will speak at the 10:45 a.m. service. Annual business meeting of The Stonewall Cemetery Association will start at 1:15 p.m. and all are invited to attend. This event is the fund raising for the yearly upkeep of the Stonewall Cemetery. Musician Appreciation will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 p.m. honoring Clementine Rockett, Eric Rockett, Henry Hogsett, Kenzie Williams, Marcus Hogsett, Erica Rockett and Jamal Rockett. Pastor is Michael Williams. All groups, choirs and soloists are invited.

Church in Kosciusko; Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m., Rev. Ozell Landfair Jr. of Bear Marsh M.B. Church in Carrollton.

18th Year Pastor Anniversary for Pastor Tony and First Lady Kimberly McBride, will be celebrated on the first Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. Theme “Giving our pastor double honor for his labor in the word.” 1 Timothy 5:17. Guest speaker will be Pastor Martha Jones of Heaven is My Goal Outreach Ministry in McAdams and Assistant Pastor at New Center Ridge.

A Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Walk will be held on Oct. 26, at the walking track in downtown Weir. All local churches mission groups are invited to attend.
