NATIONAL SUMMARY
A push of cold air will clash with the warm conditions along
the Gulf coast tomorrow, producing afternoon severe
thunderstorms from southeastern Texas to central
Mississippi, which can bring gusty winds and local flash
flooding. Steady to heavy rain is also expected across the
Tennessee Valley, which can result in local flash flooding.
There can be some snow in the interior Northeast and Great
Lakes as well, though temperatures are expected to recover
slightly across the region. Occasional snow showers could
occur across the Rockies, while light afternoon rain is
anticipated in the Northwest from Seattle to Portland,
Oregon. Brutally cold conditions are expected to dive down
from Canada into the Plains, accompanied by some gusty
winds.
