SUBSTITUTED TRUSTEE'S NOTICE OF SALE

WHEREAS, on June 19, 2003, William E. Hill and wife, Wendy W. Hill executed a certain deed of trust to Scott R. Valby, Trustee for the benefit of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. as nominee for Franklin American Mortgage Company, its successors and assigns which deed of trust is of record in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Attala County, State of Mississippi in Book 738 at Page 549; and

WHEREAS, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. has heretofore substituted Shapiro & Brown, LLC as Trustee by instrument dated February 12, 2019 and recorded in the aforesaid Chancery Clerk's Office in Book 1126 at Page 364; and

WHEREAS, default having been made in the terms and conditions of said deed of trust and the entire debt secured thereby having been declared to be due and payable in accordance with the terms of said deed of trust, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., the legal holder of said indebtedness, having requested the undersigned Substituted Trustee to execute the trust and sell said land and property in accordance with the terms of said deed of trust and for the purpose of raising the sums due thereunder, together with attorney's fees, trustee's fees and expense of sale.

From this point of beginning run South 36 degrees 30 minutes West 125 feet to a point, along the boundary of property heretofore conveyed by Jerry G. McMullin and wife, Annice Yvette McMullin, to Dorothy A. Shelton, dated June 2, 1980, thence run South 61 degrees 30 minutes East 50.0 feet to a point, thence run North 36 degrees 30 minutes East 125 feet to a point on Southerly right-of-way of Clark road, thence run North 61 degrees 30 minutes West 50.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

CURBSIDE HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE COLLECTION

CITY OF KOSCIUSKO, MISSISSIPPI

The City of Kosciusko (hereafter referred to as “City”) desires to request bids for the purpose of collecting household garbage and commercial hand collection on a curbside program.

The City is requesting proposals from entities which would like to perform said program for the City.  The contract work consists of household curbside and commercial hand garbage only collection.

The general specifications for the program are as follows:

1. Unit price for one (1) time per week garbage only residential and
light commercial hand collection. $______________

All contractors will be required to provide a transfer facility inside the City of Kosciusko within 12 months of award of contract.

Residential and hand collected commercial refuse shall be containerized or bagged for pick-up at the curbside.  Contractor shall furnish containers not to exceed 96 gallons.

All contractors’ quotes shall be based on a three (3) year period with provisions for three one (1) year options renewable after the end of each contract year.  Any adjustments after the first contract year will be based on the U. S. Department of Labor Consumer Price Index.

Contractor shall provide and maintain during the life of the contract Worker’s Compensation Insurance in accordance with laws of the State of Mississippi and Certificates showing insurance for bodily injury liability, property damage liability, and automobile liability of at least $500,000 per occurrence.

Contractor shall provide a performance bond in an amount equal to the sum of twelve (12) monthly total service charges.

A residential unit is described for the purposes of this contract as a single family dwelling, apartment or mobile home.  All other units shall be defined as commercial under the terms of this contract. 

Commercial hand garbage unit is described for the purposes of this contract as a commercial business that can have up to four (4) containers with once per week pickup.

Contractors will contract privately with all other commercial (non-hand pick up) establishments for waste removal.

Contractor shall furnish the City five (5) 8 cubic yard front load containers to be located at City-owned facilities.  The Contractor shall supply a roll-out cart to each of the following City-owned facilities at no extra charge to the City: City Hall, Fire Station, Maintenance Shop, Police Station, and Cemetery Department.

The City of Kosciusko will open bids on May 7, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Board Room located at 222 East Washington Street, Kosciusko, MS 39090.  Operations shall begin on August 1, 2019.

Proposals may be mailed to the City of Kosciusko, 222 East Washington Street, Kosciusko, MS  39090 and clearly identified on the outside of the envelope “PROPOSAL FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION.”
