The homestanding Holmes Community College Bulldogs racked up 568 total yards of total offense on Thursday night to knock off the No. 3 Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers to stay in first place in the North Division at 2-0.
French Camp cross country participated in the North Mississippi Challenge. No team scores were kept, but French Camp's top finishers were Colby Walters for the boys, 18th in 20:28.027 for 5,000 meters and Averie Jane Gundy for the girls. She was 14th in 24:33.584.
With only four games left in the regular season, the Bulldogs of Holmes Community College find themselves tied at the top of the MACJC North Division football standings alongside perennial NJCAA National power East Mississippi Community College.

Two Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog pitchers have been named to the MACJC All-State Team for 2019. Mary Clayton Burrell, a freshman from Sallis, was named First Team while Brooklyne Eubanks, a sophomore from Mize, was named Second Team.
