A fourth quarter touchdown enabled McAdams to move one step closer to the MHSAA Class 1A State Football Playoffs with a 14-6 victory over Coffeeville on Friday night.
A sensational performance by C. J. Johnson enabled French Camp to defeat Vardaman 45-20. But despite a second straight Region 2-1A win, the Panthers were eliminated from playoff contention due to Tupelo Christian's 49-25 victory over Okolona.
Last Friday was homecoming at McAdams, but West Tallahatchie ruined it for the grads who came back to support the Bulldogs. McAdams managed a fourth quarter touchdown, but by that time West Tallahatchie was up 36-0 on its way to a 36-6 win.
French Camp managed only 72 yards of offense in losing to Noxapater 39-7 last Friday night. Noxapater is the state's second ranked 1A team behind Nanih Waiya by the Clarion-Ledger and fourth by the website MaxPreps.
