KHS to offer ACT workshop

Kosciusko High School, in conjunction with the Kosciusko Foundation for Excellence in Education, will offer a two day ACT workshop for all high school students Saturday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday, Oct.19, beginning at 2 p.m . The workshop will be taught by Melanie McNeel. Mrs. McNeel has been teaching ACT preparation courses for the past 7 years, and she currently serves as the Scholarship and ACT Prep teacher at Winston Academy.

The ACT workshop is designed to prepare students for college entrance examinations. The workshop provides students with the confidence and skills necessary to score well by familiarizing them with the test format and by teaching test-taking strategies.

This course, which normally costs $180 per student, is being sponsored by the Kosciusko School District and KFEE and is being offered to our students. There will be a $10 registration fee due by the deadline in order to be put on the list. If your child attends the workshop, the $10 fee will be refunded. All participants must register before Monday, Oct. 13 . Class space is limited! Space will be given to seniors first, with juniors second, etc.

The ACT Test will be given at the high school on Oct.25. You can register online at www.actstudent.org or your child can pick up a packet from Mrs. Regan. (Kos. High School code # 251-475)
