Ethel teacher named Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year

Meagan Walters, English teacher at Ethel High School, is the 2008 winner of Wal-Mart Teacher of the year. Manager Robert Hawkins presents her a $1,000 check for her school, a $100 Wal-Mart gift card for her personal use, and a certificate of recognition. Parents, students and friends in the county make the selection by placing their nominations in a box provided in the store during August.
