Fall TV is here!

— Ahhhh, fall is finally here and thank the Lord my shows have returned from hiatus!
It’s time for my to stop watching all the reality TV and back to “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Heroes” and “One Tree Hill.”
Plus, I found a few new shows that I have programmed in the DVR.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’
The season opener of “Grey’s” was worth the two hours and for George fans out there, they got to grieve the loss of the good guy played by T.R. Knight. However, when it’s over and Izzie lives on, another curve ball is thrown – The merger of Seattle Grace Hospital and Mercy West. Plus, I don’t know how long Meredith and Derek are going to be happy.
“Seriously,” I think the show will keep me interested.

‘Heroes’
When “Heroes” first aired several years ago, I for one was excited. Supernatural powers in everyday people in an everyday world – How much fun would that be.
Marvel and D.C. fans had something to look forward to on Monday nights.
With two episodes of the fourth season under my belt, all I can say is “boring.”
I don’t have a real feeling of where the show is going. I am going to keep watching because I can only hope that it gets better.

‘One Tree Hill’
Seven years ago, I began watching this teenage soap to fill the void left by “Dawson’s Creek” and let me tell you I am still not over the fact that Joey picked Pacey instead of Dawson. After all the name of the show is “Dawson’s Creek.”
But, I am getting a bit off track.
However, OTH finally did get it right at the end of season six – Lucas and Peyton finally wed after there on again/off again relationship but as season seven starts my two favorite characters, played by Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, are gone.
Heck, we don’t even know where the characters have ended up.
The soapy drama is still back with the remaining core three, Brooke, Haley and Nathan, and several new characters that should keep things interesting. I think I will still tune in.

New shows
Wednesday night was a big hit with me.
I started off with NBC’s “Mercy” – A medical drama centered around three nurses and it’s heartfelt, funny and sarcastic all at the same time. Some critics say it’s a snooze but I think I would like to get to know the characters better before I unplug life support.
Next, I headed to ABC’s “Cougartown,” where Courteney Cox got back to her comedic roots as a 40-something newly divorced woman raising a teenage son and paying her ex alimony.
While all those points lead to funny, she’s also got a wacky ensemble that makes you laugh at loud. Check it out, laughter is good for the soul.
Ended the night in the town of “Eastwick.” The ABC TV show, based on the film “The Witches of Eastwick,” is mystical and engaging and refreshing to watch.
I’ve kind of missed witches being on TV since “Charmed” said goodbye. It’s a good show that you can get lost in and unwind after a long day. Simply – It’s fun and stars Rebecca Romijn.
