Alice Mae Hood
Services for Mrs. Alice Mae Hood, 82, of Carthage will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in North Union Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, 5-8 p.m.
Mrs. Hood, a native of Alabama, died May 6, 2008 at her residence. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
She is survived by sons, Henry E. Hood of Kilmichael, Marshall Hood of Morris, Ala., Joe Hood of Carmack, Eli Hood of Slidell, La.; daughters, Sharon Vowell of Carthage, Bessie Hughes, Virginia Odom of Kosciusko, Glenda Brunt of McCool, Rixie Cook of Carmack; brothers, Eddie Jackson of McCool, Lewis Partin of Arizona, David Jackson of Carmack; a sister, Dorothy Hughes of McCool; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hood; a son, Joseph O. Hood; daughter, Anna P. Hood; two grandsons, Lewis Cook and David Moore, three sisters and one brother.
Rev. Bobby Oakes will officiate.
Pallbearers are Chris Hood, Christopher Hood, Henry Hood, Joseph Hood, Tony Hood and Robert Hughes.
