Wesley Gene "Wes" Rasberry

Wesley Gene “Wes” Rasberry, 56, of Kosciusko died quietly at home home May 4, 2008 following a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 5-8 p.m.

Rasberry, born Sept. 7, 1951 in Durant, was a sergeant in the Air Force. He was a contractor for 30 years before becoming a regional leader and finanacial consultant with Primerica Financial Services until his health prevented him for working.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca; five sons, Wesley Alexander Rasberry and wife, Kasey of Boise, Idaho, Christopher Allen Rasberry, Justin Wayne Rasberry and wife, Alice, Steven Garrett Walden, all of Orlando, Fla., Jonathan Lee Walden and wife, Jessica of Alaska; his mother, Dorothy Jean Williamson; brother, James S. Rasberry and wife Cindy; sisters, Linda Rasberry Kerben and husband, Kenny all of Kosciusko, and Jennifer Rasberry Dykman and husband Stan of Brandon; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, James, Tiffani and Christina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rev. Barry Corbett and Rev. Mark Parnell will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
