Barbie Bassett speaker for awards banquet

The Attala County Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual Conservation Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday, October 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Wanda’s Catering on Highway 12 across from McDonalds. Guest speaker will be Barbie Bassett, meteorologist of WLBT Channel 3 News.

The banquet is held each year to award landowners for their efforts in implementing conservation practices and projects throughout the year. Tickets for the event are $6 each and may be purchased from the Soil and Water Conservation District located at 502 Veterans Memorial Drive in the USDA Service Center or you may purchase tickets from any of the Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners or Deputy Commissioners.
