Kosciusko Police Chief R.J. Adams and Kosciusko native Tommy Davis discussed Davis’ 2007 auto accident at the Kosciusko Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Davis attended a prior board meeting expressing concerns about not getting a complete accident report.
Mayor Jimmy Cockroft said this matter was of a civil nature.
No further action was taken on the matter.
Freddie George with Ability Works asked the board to consider entering into an agreement with the local business for recycling purposes.
The board agreed to work on an agreement.
Cockroft said hopefully, the recycling will start with cardboard recycling from commercial businesses and grow from there.
The board approved the following:
–To clean the property at 109 South Huntington Street.
–Pay Belinda Stewart Architects $1,150 for work on the Strand Theater’s roof.
–Hire Steven Allen as a Kosciusko Police officer.
–Purchase cameras for the KPD patrol cars in the amount of $$23,370 from Digital Alley. The funds used come from a grant.
–Reservations for mayor and board of aldermen to attend the Mississippi Municipal League Conference in the summer. They will be staying at the Beau Rivage.
