One dies in Highway 35 accident

Moses Brunt Jr., 64, of Kosciusko, died at early Thursday morning when his Cheverolt Cavailer hit an 18-wheeler driven by Justin Creer, of Itta Bena, on Highway 35 South.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Brunt moved into the southbound lane and struck the trunk.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

No seatbelts were worn.

Creer was taken to Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital for injuries.

Winters Funeral Home is in charge of Brunt's arrangements.
