Weir football jamboree still on for today

By Austin Bishop
The Star Herald

Despite the weather's best efforts, football is still scheduled for Weir High School today.

The Lions will host five other teams in a spring football jamboree that will begin at 3:30 p.m. when Eupora takes on French Camp and will conclude with a 6:50 p.m. contest between host Weir and J.Z. George.

The scrimmages will be contested on only the South end of the field and will be under controlled situations.

The 4:10 p.m. matchup has Durant taking on Weir, while Noxapater and J.Z. George meet at 4:50 p.m. and Eupora and Durant square off at 5:30.

The 6:10 contest has French Camp facing Noxapater, with the Weir-J.Z. George match-up concluding the action.
