ATV accident leaves man with broken leg

A ATV accident left a 23-year-old man with a broken leg Attala County Sheriff William Lee said.

Joseph Stewart’s ATV flipped on top of him on Highway 14 West Saturday night.



Stolen items

Brad Tubby reported stolen property from Attala County Road 4163 on April 27.

Lee said $3,950 worth of items were taken.

Stolen goods are four aluminum wheels, tires, master brakes, cylinder, tool box, transmission, tractor engine and two-speed shifter.

Lee said there is a suspect.



Accidents

The ACSD worked several accidents.

On Friday, Christopher Jones, of Attala County Road 2102, had a collision with a deer in his truck.

On April 27, Margaret Nash Mallett lost control of her Ford Focus and the vehicle overturned. She was not injured.

On April 25, a truck was reported on fire on Attala County Road 4002.

The vehicle, a total loss, was registered to Robert Moore of Goodman.



Assault

Antwan Huffman was charged with domestic violence – simple assault after Andrea Truss reported it to the ACSD.

Huffman is out on $500 bond.
