Author signing copies of book about brother

Hazel Janell Meredith, sister of James H. Meredith, will autograph copies of her book “My Brother J-Boy” Sunday, May 11, 2-4 p.m. at Joint Heirs With Christ Church, 606 Gilliland Street in Kosciusko.

Her brother, who is also an author, will accompany her with some of his books.

Known for many years as Hazel Coleman, the Kosciusko native, teaches sewing, arts, and crafts at Mississippi Job corps. She earned a B.S. degree in home economics from Mississippi valley State Technical and Vocational College, and a M.S. degree in child development from the University of Illinois, the Urbana-Champaign Campus.

She also studied fashion design at Los Angeles Trade Technical School.

The books are $19.95 each.
