Breaking and entering doesn’t pay in Attala County.
Sheriff William Lee said a property owned by Dean Rone in the Ethel area was broken into on Sunday, April 26, and three were charged with burglary.
Jermaine Alston, 28, Michael Barksdale, 25, and Michael D. Brown, 34, were all charged with the crime.
Lee said thanks to Rone’s handy work in acquiring evidence, the department was able to apprehend the three.
An air conditioner, lawn mower, wire and a lift pole were taken. The value of the items is more than $1,000.
Lee said Alston and Barksdale are in the custody of Holmes County law enforcement on drug charges.
