French Camp holding first May Fest Saturday

The Town of French Camp will hold its first May Fest with plans of making it an annual event.
Activities will take place 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., directly behind and around Town Hall. There will be inflatables, a rock climbing wall, obstacle course and a variety of games. Cost will be $5. For this amount, a wristband will allow all day access to the inflatables and games.
Pre-sale of wristbands will be made on Thursday and Friday, May 1 and 2, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Those purchasing or selling 10 wristbands will get one free. See Glen Barlow or Shawna Grice to pick up chances to sell to earn a free wristband by selling 20 chances for $5 each.
With a $5 donation, participants will be eligible for drawings of $50 cash and $50 Wal-Mart gift card; $100 cash and a $100 Wal-Mart gift card; $150 cash and a $150 Wal-Mart gift card. A donation of $1 entitles you to a $100 savings bond from the Bank of Kilmichael.
There will also be vendors, a cake walk, snow cones, face painting by the FCA cheerleaders.
Southern gospel music will be presented in the fire station, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Fish plates will be sold for $7 and may be picked up at any time during the event. Southern Belle Town of French Camp T-shirts in two color choices will be sold for $12.
