Two women caught shoplifting Monday

Two women were arrested for shoplifting in separate incidents Monday by the Kosciusko Police Department.

Lambania Irene Hodges, 61, of Kosciusko was charged with shoplifting first offense at Sunflower #11 for taking $1.49 in merchandise by Officer Huey Curry and Tanette Chanelle Higginbottom, 24, of Kosciusko, was arrested for shoplifting first offense at Wal-Mart for taking $30.20 in merchandise by Officer Joe Fulton.

Louis Harmon 29, of Goodman was arrested for speeding, suspended driver’s license, DUI second offense on Highway 12 West, by Cpl. Danny Groves.



Man arrested

on nine charges

A Durant man was arrested on nine charges early Friday morning.

Dwayne Seawood, 35, of Durant, was arrested for no tag, no driver’s license, no insurance, DUI first offense, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of liquor, possession of stolen property (vehicle) and possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).



Other arrests

On Sunday, Charmaine Winters, 20, of Kosciusko, was charged with possession of liquor, careless driving, no driver’s license and DUI first offense on Heald St. by Officer Stan Beall.

Seven arrests were made on Saturday. They are Terry Nash, 20 of Kosciusko, careless driving and possession of alcohol on West Jefferson Street by Cpl. Dirk Thayer; James McMillon, 31, of McAdams, disorderly conduct on Love Street by Officer Philip Fancher; Rosalyn Young, 23, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license on South Huntington Street by Officer Mark Hill; Willie Lee, 39, of Kosciusko, contempt of court, no driver’s license on Huntington Street by Sgt. David White; Monica Sandifer, 30, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license and child restraint violation on South Natchez Street by Officer Joe Fulton; Douglas Tucker, 52, of Kosciusko, expired driver’s license and DUI first offense on Monroe Street by Sgt. Herbert Dew; and John Hughes, 57, of Kosciusko, possession of paraphernalia on Monroe Street by Dew.

Over the course of Friday, KPD arrested two.

They are Darryl Neely, 41, of Kosciusko, no tag, no insurance and suspended driver’s license on South Natchez Street by Curry and Linda Riley, 49, of Kosciusko, no driver’s license on F Street by Curry.

Thursday, April 10, Shannon Love, 33, of Kosciusko, was charged with following too close, suspended driver’s license, no insurance and possession of marijuana on South Natchez Street by Officer Huey Curry.

The following arrests were made at a check point on Wednesday and Thursday, April 9-10: Stephen Adams, 18, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license by Groves; Maggie Malone, 23, of Durant, no driver’s license by Sgt. Chris Busbea; Chester Owens, 43, of Vaiden, no driver’s license by Officer Robert Land; Casey Cork, 24, of Ackerman, suspended driver’s license by Land; Nancy Burroghs, 28, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license, expired tag by Land; Kensly Wilson, 24, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license by Land.

Also on Wednesday, April 9, Christopher Nash, 30, of Kosciusko, was charged with possession of marijuana on West North Street by Thayer.

On Monday, April 4, Joe Coleman Jr., 27, of Kosciusko, was charged with expired tag, suspended driver’s license on Myers Road by Curry.
