KPD reports heavy arrests over weekend

Kosciusko Police Department reports the following arrests:



Jerome Gentry, 47, was charged with simple assault with a weapon to produce death Monday on Moore Street.



Katherine Machelle Sumerall, 32, was charged with no driver’s license at West Jefferson Street at the Attala Fire Department Sunday.



Danin Lanette Quarles, 34, was charged with obstruction of justice Sunday at Glendale Apartment 45.



Ernesto Hilario Lopez, 25, was charged with no driver’s license, first offense driving under the influence and no insurance Sunday at Highway 12 East at Wendy’s.



Frank Gould, 27, was charged with domestic violence/simple assault on Gilliand Street Sunday.



Kayla Elizabeth Farmer, 20, was charged suspended driver’s license and driving under the influence second refusal Saturday on Highway 12 West.



Megan Elyse Marascalco, 20, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor Saturday on Highway 12 West.



At a checkpoint at Highway 43 North at Simmons Lane, the following were arrested: Melvin Dwone Kern, 24, no driver’s license; German V. Ruiz, 55, no driver’s license; Clara Nickerson, 53, first offense driving under the influence; and Victor Salinas, 37, no driver’s license.



Edith Mae Randle, 55, was charged with suspended driver’s license on Highway 12 Saturday.



At West North Street the following were charged with open container Saturday: James Yewing Medders, 22; David Curtis McCool, 23; Zachary Steven Lee, 24; Bradley Shaffer, 33; Rodney Connell Brown, 32; Micheal Carter, 22; and Willie Warren Jr., 39.



Kendrick Dontez Hunt, 21, was charged with suspended driver’s license and possession of marijuana in the vehicle Saturday at North East Street and Knox Road.



Jonathon Head, 26, was charged with no driver’s license and improper equipment on Veterans Memorial Drive Saturday.



Jeremy Carr, 21, was charged with failure to report an accident and open container law Friday on Highway 12 West.



David Clinton Strickland, 34, was charged with trespassing at Cannonade Apartments on Friday.



Shefron Johnson, 27, was charged with fleeing a law enforcement officer in a vehicle, resisting arrests and possession of marijuana Tuesday at College and Huntington Streets.
