KPD makes several arrests

The Kosciusko Police Department reports a variety of arrests over the last week.
Early Monday, Jacqueline Smith, 20, of Kosciusko, was charged with no driver’s license and no insurance on the Highway 35 Bypass by Officer Huey Curry.
On Sunday, Marcus Haymon, 23, of Goodman, was charged with petit larceny for goods taken from Wal-Mart by Officer Robert Land.
Also on Sunday, Billy Clark, 51, of Kosciusko, was arrested for speeding, open container and DUI first offense on North Natchez Street by Cpl. Danny Groves.
Saturday, Roberto Ruiz, 40, of Kosciusko, was charged with careless driving, no driver’s license, no insurance, DUI first offense on North Natchez Street by Curry.
Two other arrests were made on Sunday. They are Jerry Turner, 28, of Kosciusko, suspended driver’s license and no insurance on Fifth Street and Larry Winters, 23, of Sallis, no driver’s license and contempt of court on West Adams Street, both by Groves.
On Friday, Verbie Luckett, 32, of Kosciusko, was charged with disturbance of a family and public drunk on Chatwin Street by Curry.
Lee Wade, 30, of Goodman, was arrested for no driver’s license and possession of marijuana on Valley Road Thursday by Stan Beall.
On Thursday, Lakisha Brown, 30, of Kosciusko, was charged with suspended driver’s license by Herbert Dew.
Brenda Potts, 49, of McCool, was arrested Thursday for abuse of a vulnerable adult by Officer Mark Hill.
Wednesday, March 19, Chris Meredith, 20, of Kosciusko, was charged with perjury by Land.
On Tuesday, March 18, James Kuykendall, 59, of Tupelo, was arrested for public drunk on Highway 35 Bypass by Officer Joseph Fulton.
Also on Tuesday, Felicia Herrington, 29, of Lena, was charged with possession of liquor and possession of paraphernalia on Cavalier Drive by Fulton.
Moses Brunt, 64, of Kosciusko, was arrested for suspended driver’s license on East North Street by Officer Michael Henson.
