Kosciusko man charged with sale of cocaine by Police Department

A 37-year-old Kosciusko man was arrested on drug charges Monday morning by the Kosciusko Police Department.

Donovan Johnson was charged with three counts of the sale of a controlled substance (cocaine) by Cpl. Thomas Clark.



Men charged with fraud

On Thursday, Feb. 14, Chant Taylor, 30, and Nicholas Toten, 34, both of Kosciusko, were arrested for credit card fraud.

Both men used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise from Kangaroo Crossing on Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

The arrests were made by Officer Huey Curry.



Other arrests

Early Tuesday morning, Rokendra Lewis, 19, of Kosciusko, was charged with no insurance and no driver’s license on Natchez Street by Danny Groves.

On Monday, Christopher Clay, 18, of Lexington, was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart by Officer Robert Land.

Sunday the KPD made one arrest. John Johnson, 27, of Sallis, was charged with contempt of court, possession of marijuana and no driver’s license on Highway 43 North by Officer Adam Jones.

Two arrests were made on Saturday. They are Aaron Wilkerson, 21, of Kosciusko, careless driving and possession of marijuana on Highway 35 Bypass by Jones and Christine Arnold, 19, of Kosciusko, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (prescription medicines) and possession of paraphernalia on Highway 35 Bypass by Jones.

Friday’s arrests include: Tony Rhodes, 43, of Memphis Tenn., shoplifting first offense at Kangaroo Crossing by Officer Mark Hill; Anglean Patrick, 40, of Carthage, suspended driver’s license and no insurance at an accident at Wal-Mart by Officer Huey Curry; and Lonnie Campbell, 34, of Sarah, suspended driver’s license and no insurance on Highway 35 Bypass by Curry.

Kellsi Grimes, 19, of Carthage was arrested at Wal-Mart for shoplifting $81.86 in merchandise by Sgt. Chris Busbea on Thursday, Feb. 14.

On Feb. 13, Suzanne Oaks, 24, of Kosciusko, was arrested for suspended drivers license and expired tag by Clark after a traffic stop on Hwy 35 North.

On Feb. 12, Bradley Taylor, 26, of Ethel, was charged with reckless driving and Zackary Owens, 21, of Kosciusko, reckless driving on Jefferson Street by Jones.
