Dees-McClurg wedding planned at French Camp

Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Dees of French Camp announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Kayla Ann Dees, to Billy Forrest McClurg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Michael McClurg of French Camp.

Miss Dees is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernice Cook of French Camp, and Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Dees of Carmack.

Mr. McClurg is the grandson of Billy Wayne “Pete” Thrailkill of French Camp and the late Kathleen Cook. He is the great-grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Thrailkill of French Camp. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Forrest McClurg of French Camp.

The bride-elect is a graduate of East Holmes Academy. She is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Holmes Community College in Goodman where she will graduate in July as an LPN.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of French Camp Academy. He attended East Central Community College and Mississippi Delta Community College where he graduated from the Police Academy. He is currently employed as a lineman with Chain Electric in Hattiesburg.

The couple will exchange vows on May 17, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in an outdoor wedding at Lake Ruth located three miles north of French Camp on Highway 413. A reception will immediately at Lake Ruth.

No local invitations will be sent, but all friends and family of the couple are invited to attend.
