Whippets force game three

The Kosciusko Whippets traveled to Houston on Saturday to play game one of a best-of-three series with the Hilltoppers.  The Whippets lost the contest 3-2 in nine innings but were able to even the series at one game apiece on Monday night with a 10-6 victory, pushing their overall record to 23-8.  Game three was played Tuesday night in Houston after The Star-Herald went to press.
