Annual Christmas concert Sunday

The annual Christmas concert sponsored by the Attala County Historical Society will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center.

The “Sounds of Christmas” program will feature a number of performers. Allison Porter will sing “Breath of Heaven” and “O Holy Night”; Holmes Connection, led by Michael Yates, will sing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and “The Christmas Song.”

Lisa Bishop Ray will sing “Born to Die” and “Grownup Christmas List.” Melanie Newell will play “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “A Christmas Medley.” First Baptist Church Childcare Pre-K, led by Melinda Price, will sing “What Can I Give Him?”, “You Are Lord to Me,” and “Come Let Us Worship the King.” The Myles Family will sing “Do You Know Jesus?” and “Jesus, What A Wonderful Child.”

Jim and Helen Hill of French Camp will play “In the Bleak Midwinter”, “He Shall Feed His Flock”, and “Gesu Bambio.” Jim Hill, Tammie McKnight and Jennie Morgan will play “Pachelbel.”

There is no charge for the program.

The public is invited to attend.
