  • Relay kickoff rally planned for Oct. 20
    The American Cancer Society invites individuals who want to honor cancer survivors and caregivers, or pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer to join its Relay For Life, scheduled for June 5 in Kosciusko.

  • Wellness Wednesday spotlights breast cancer
    Join area residents at the Wellness Wednesday health education luncheon at noon Wednesday, Oct. 15, hosted by Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital at the Attala Education Building.

  • KHS to offer ACT workshop
    Kosciusko High School, in conjunction with the Kosciusko Foundation for Excellence in Education, will offer a two day ACT workshop for all high school students Saturday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday, Oct.19, beginning at 2 p.m .

  • Steed named EHS Homecoming Queen
    Christi Steed, daughter of Jackie & Billy Steed, was crowned Ethel High School Homecoming Queen Friday night by EHS principal Roger Hill. She was escorted by her uncle, David Fullilove.   • Ethel teacher named Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year
    Meagan Walters, English teacher at Ethel High School, is the 2008 winner of Wal-Mart Teacher of the year.

  • Event to benefit annual Sallis Day
    The Sallis homecoming committee will hold a fund raiser in downtown Sallis on Oct. 4, beginning at 8 a.m.

  • EHS homecoming court announced
    The Ethel High School Homecoming Court has been announced. Festivities will kick off Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. before the Tigers take on the South Leake Wildcats at 7. This year’s theme is “Tropical Paradise.” Make sure to buy an Ethel Tiger Football Program and be entered in to win a lady's watch from Gem Day Jewelers. Drawing will be at half time.

  • Grymes crowned KHS homecoming queen
    Caitlin Grymes was crowned Kosciusko High School homecoming queen by KHS Principal Jonathan Carnes on Friday night.

  • HCC Homecoming October 11; Wright named Alumnus of Year
    Homecoming at Holmes Community College in Goodman has been set for Saturday, October 11 with a Sports Hall of Fame/Alumni Banquet on Friday, October 10.
