A possible suicide at the Attala County Jail is being investigated by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations officials said.
Attala County Chief Investigator Tim Nail said David Burrell, 39, of Kosciusko, was found hanging in a cell at 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol charged Burrell with possession of a concealed weapon, no insurance, no seat belt and suspended driver’s license around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
